Sparkle Minnow Streamer
Sparkle Minnow Streamer
The Sparkle Minnow is a flashy, aggressive streamer that imitates baitfish, sculpin, and other large prey items that big trout and bass hunt. The flash-heavy body pushes water and throws light on every strip, triggering the predatory instinct in fish that won't move for a nymph. When you're tired of catching 10-inch trout on tiny flies and want a shot at something with shoulders, tie this on.
Fish it on a sink tip or weighted leader with short, aggressive strips — pause between strips to let the materials pulse and settle. The profile collapses and flares with each movement, creating an injured-baitfish action that predatory fish can't resist. Also deadly swung through deep runs on a tight line at the end of a drift.
When to Fish It
Best in spring and fall when trout are actively chasing larger prey, or anytime you're targeting bass. Fish it early morning, late evening, or on overcast days when big fish feel comfortable moving into shallow water to hunt. Also effective in off-color water where the flash helps fish locate the fly.

Why Anglers Stock This Fly
This is the fly you tie on when you want to change the game. Nymphing catches numbers, but streamers catch the biggest fish in the river. The Sparkle Minnow's flash profile works in clear water and dirty water alike, and it's durable enough to survive multiple fish without falling apart. Hand-tied with quality materials by tiers with over 30 years of experience.
