Sexy Walt’s Worm Nymph
Sexy Walt’s Worm Nymph
The Sexy Walt's is a modern competition nymph that imitates caddis larvae, crane fly larvae, and general aquatic worms with a slim, natural-looking profile. The hare's mask dubbing creates a rough, buggy body that moves in the current, and the minimal design lets it drift naturally without the bulk that triggers refusals from educated trout. It's a finesse nymph for technical situations.
When to Fish It
Year-round, especially on pressured water. Fish it euro style as the lighter fly in a two-nymph rig, or under an indicator in slower water. The natural profile excels in clear, low-water conditions where trout are spooky and selective. Dead-drift it through seams, along weed beds, and through soft water near structure. Size 16.

Why Anglers Stock This Fly
The Sexy Walt's fills the gap between a San Juan Worm (too bright for some situations) and a natural nymph (sometimes too subtle). It's a middle ground that works on the pickiest fish. Competition anglers have used it to win tournaments because it consistently produces on water where other patterns get refused. Hand-tied with quality materials by tiers with over 30 years of experience.
