Lance Egan's Blowtorch: tungsten jig, soft CDC-style collar, and a burning orange hot-spot tag. An attractor with just enough natural movement to fool fish that flash alone won't move.

When to Fish It

Year-round on any moving water. The hot tag excels in stained flows, low light, and early season. Fish it as a euro point fly or the anchor of an indicator rig on light tippet. Barbless hook pins fish and releases them clean.

Key Info

  • Type: Nymph (tungsten jig, barbless)
  • Imitates: Attractor — buggy nymph with hot spot
  • Sizes: 12, 14, 16
  • Best for: Trout in riffles, runs, and pocket water
  • Fish it: Euro rig point fly or nymph-rig anchor
