It has a good pattern and all the eyelets are clear for tying onto your leader. The hook barbs are sharp although not as sharp as I would prefer. The price point is hard to beat. Overall you are getting a quality fly for less than you can get at almost any sporting good store. would recommend to other fly anglers out there.

Really happy with this 12-pack of Zebra Midges. The colors and bead styles gives are s nice match, and the small hook sizes are perfect for targeting picky trout. The flies look well tied with clean wraps and solid materials, especially for the price.I haven’t had any issues with the hooks or durability, and they held up well after catching several fish. Whether you’re fishing under an indicator or using them as part of a Euro nymph setup, these are a great addition to any fly box. I’d definitely buy another pack.

These Zebra Midges are an excellent value for anyone targeting small salmonids or microfishing. The tying is impressively clean across the entire 18-22 size range—no sloppy thread wraps or loose materials—and the hooks are genuinely sharp, which is critical when running the thin tippets required for these sizes. I'm attaching pictures of a 22 and an 18 under a microscope.The assortment provides great versatility. The whole range is well-suited for trout, and if they're being particularly picky in the headwaters, I expect they'll still hit the 22s. I also plan to use the smaller sizes for microfishing after prickly sculpins in local creeks. For the sculpins, I'll run them on 2 lb fluorocarbon, while I'll stick to a standard fly line and tippet setup for trout.The tungsten beads are the real deal. I tested them in my tank and they sink like a rock, providing the density essential for Euro nymphing to reach the strike zone quickly in fast currents. I've attached a video of the sink rate; the quality isn't great, but it demonstrates what tungsten does for your sink rates. Even at the smallest sizes, the bead-to-hook ratio is well-proportioned, which should ensure a stable drift without tumbling.The quality is surprisingly high for a mass-produced set. They are well-constructed, mechanically sound, and a reliable addition to the fly box.

Nicely tied zebra midges with barbed hooks and tungsten beads. Reasonably priced though I thought I was getting a variety pack of 18-20-22 sizes appears they're all "22s".Might put a bit of resin at the bead to keep thread from coming loose. But overall they seem to be tied fairly well.

The Zebra Midges for Fly Fishing package includes four colors and appear to be of good quality in terms of tying, color selection, and hook size for midge flies. The flies come in a convenient plastic case which will easily fit in a vest pocket. The price is fair for the number and selection of midge flies included in this set.I believe they have covered all of the bases with this selection of midges, and I look forward to using it on the water very soon.

I know nothing about fly fishing or trout flies. But my son-in-law does, and I ordered these for him. He said they work better than other flies that he had used. He said the hooks are sharp, which is good. He said they don’t fall apart after using them so he can use them over and over again. He says he recommends these.

This assorted set of 12 Floating Feather Supply tungsten bead zebra midge flies in size 22 that I ordered and received are very well-tied in four varieties of three each. The tungsten beads bring the flies down quickly where the fish are. Midge patterns are excellent for fishing cold tailwaters such as the San Juan River or Bull Shoals. (Tailwaters are flows directly from the bottom of a tall dam, releasing cold water into the river.) In many cases midge patterns are the only thing that will work in tailwaters. These flies work well for both indicator fishing and Euro nymphing. The four different zebra midge patterns in this set provide versatility for selecting the pattern that matches what the trout are feeding on. It is clear that these flies are tied to last; they shouldn’t wear out until they have caught dozens of fish. It is important to use a light tippet with midges in the 20 to 22 range, probably nothing bigger than 6X. Certainly, if the tippet doesn’t fit through the eye of the hook, you know the tippet is too large. These midge flies are a really great value for such quality and durability.

These are good little bead head wet flies. This style is among my favorites for trout in small streams. They also work well for bluegill and other panfish in ponds and lakes. The hooks are sharp. The knots and wraps are done well. The price is reasonable.If you're unfamiliar with hook sizes, do some reading before ordering these. Midges are tiny insects and midge flies that imitate them are tiny, too. You'll need good eyes and a steady hand to thread a tippet though the eyes and tie knots.

Overall, I've been pleased with the selection and found it to be a great way to experiment with different patterns without spending a fortune.The quality isn't quite on par with some of the individually selected flies or premium options I've found at my local sporting goods store, but that's not unexpected for an assortment at this price point. Despite that, the flies have performed well where it counts—they catch fish. While practicing my casting and presentation at a local pond, I was able to land a couple of bluegill, which gave me confidence that these flies are effective.I haven't had the opportunity to fully test them on trout in the river yet, so the jury is still out on that front. My husband is the fly fisherman, and I got these for him. He hasn't tried them yet but based on visual inspection, he said they seem like decent flies, comparable to what you'd get from a professional fly shop. They came in a little plastic case (well packaged), and he thinks they'll work well. My only concern is that the price isn't particularly good; it seems comparable to what you'd pay in a fly shop or even online elsewhere. If he tries them and they are good or bad, I'll come back and amend this review.
