The yellow Stimulator combines a yellow body, elk-hair wing and palmered hackle in a buoyant dry-fly profile. Fish it as a stonefly imitation or a visible searching pattern through riffles and pocket water.

When to Fish It

Use this #8 fly as a large surface attractor or when its profile suits observed larger stoneflies. It is not a small Yellow Sally imitation. Dead-drift it through a controllable lane. If adding one light nymph, first check that the actual dry stays upright and readable while supporting the wet fly; use less load or a separate indicator if it sinks.
