Rainbow Warrior Nymph – Flashy Attractor Pattern for Trout
Rainbow Warrior Nymph – Flashy Attractor Pattern for Trout
The Rainbow Warrior is a flashy attractor nymph that catches trout everywhere it's fished. The pearl tinsel body, red thread collar, and rainbow flash create a fly that stands out in the drift and triggers strikes from fish that might ignore more subtle presentations. It was designed by Colorado guide Lance Egan for competitive fly fishing and has become one of the most popular nymphs in the country.
When to Fish It
Year-round as a prospecting nymph. It's effective in every type of trout water — freestone rivers, tailwaters, spring creeks, pocket water. Fish it under an indicator, euro style, or as a dropper below a dry fly. The flash body makes it especially effective in deeper or faster water where natural-looking flies can get lost. Sizes 14-18.

Why Anglers Stock This Fly
The Rainbow Warrior was designed to win fishing competitions — and it does. But you don't need to be a competitive angler to benefit from a fly that simply catches more fish. The flash body gives it an edge in tough conditions and the overall profile suggests midges, mayflies, and general aquatic insects. A must-have in any nymph box. Hand-tied with quality materials by tiers with over 30 years of experience.
