The Zebra Midge in blood red, with a silver or gold bead. Red imitates the bloodworm stage of midges and often out-fishes black in tailwaters and lakes with silty bottoms.

When to Fish It

Year-round. Reach for red when fish ignore black midges, in off-color water, or over mud and silt where natural bloodworms live. Fish it deep and slow under an indicator on light tippet.
