The Duracell jig — drab CDC collar over a purple body with a tungsten bead. One of the most successful competition patterns of the last decade because it looks buggy, sinks fast, and works everywhere.

When to Fish It

All season. A first-cast euro fly on any river, and the purple version is famous for moving fish on pressured water. Also available here in black, olive, and pheasant tail. Fish it on the point on light tippet.
