A PMD Sparkle Dun: deer-hair comparadun wing with a sparkle trailing shuck. It imitates the emerger stage — a dun still dragging its shuck — which is what selective fish actually eat during a heavy hatch.

When to Fish It

June through August during PMD emergences. When fish rise steadily but ignore your standard dun, the trailing shuck is usually the answer. Dead-drift on light tippet with accurate casts.
