Pat's Rubber Legs is the reigning big-nymph champion of the Rockies: a chenille stonefly with wiggling rubber legs that fish can't ignore. Guides call it the Pickle, and it's on the point of half the indicator rigs in Montana.

When to Fish It

Year-round, best in early season high water and ahead of stonefly hatches. Dead-drift it deep as your point fly with a smaller nymph behind it on medium tippet. Size 8 is a real meal — expect real fish.
