The Beaded Glo Bug imitates a drifting fish egg — one of the highest-calorie, easiest meals a trout can find. The bead adds weight to get the fly to the bottom quickly where eggs naturally drift.

When to Fish It

Year-round, with peak effectiveness during fall and spring spawning seasons. Dead-drift it along the bottom below spawning redds, through tailouts, and in runs where eggs naturally accumulate.
