12-Pack Squirmy Wormy Flies (Worm Imitations) for Trout
12-Pack Squirmy Wormy Flies (Worm Imitations) for Trout
The Royal Wulff is the king of attractor dry flies — a big, visible, high-floating pattern that catches trout through sheer audacity rather than imitation. The red floss body, peacock herl thorax, white calf hair wing, and stiff hackle create a fly that's visible from 50 feet away and floats in the roughest water. It doesn't look like any specific insect, but trout eat it everywhere because it looks alive and substantial.
When to Fish It
Late spring through fall as a prospecting and attractor dry fly. Fish it through pocket water, fast riffles, plunge pools, and any rough water where a more delicate dry fly would get sucked under. The white wing is your strike indicator — easy to track in any conditions. Also works as the indicator fly in a hopper-dropper rig. Size 12.

These are excellent looking fly patterns, and the quality is immediately noticeable. Every fly in the set is consistently well tied, with clean bodies and no loose material, and the (barbed) hooks feel solid and dependable. The assortment is useful, the color looks great in person, and the overall presentation feels far more premium than the price suggests. For the cost, this set is a standout value - super nice flies that should fish beautifully. Highly recommend for anyone that uses the SJ worm pattern and looking to stock up.
My husband can’t wait to try the Floating Feather Supply squirmy Wormy nymphs. They are great quality, good size, well tied with a wide variety of bright colors to attract fish. The container has a snap open lid that makes it easy to access the nymphs.
I ordered the tan color only, and honestly, that’s all I’ve needed. This fly has been excellent for trout, crappie, and even sunfish. The natural tan shade really matches what fish are used to seeing, especially in clearer water, and it produces consistent strikes. The squirmy material has great movement in the water — even on a slow drift it looks alive. The tungsten bead helps it sink quickly, which is perfect for getting down where the fish are holding. I’ve used it under an indicator and dead-drifted through deeper runs, and it’s been very productive. The hooks are sharp right out of the box and have held fish securely without bending. The fly itself is well-tied and has held up through multiple catches without falling apart. If you’re looking for a simple, natural worm pattern that works across species, the tan version is a solid choice. Great value and definitely staying in my fly box!
They look good can’t wait to try them . Didn’t have any damaged in my pack .
