The Hemingway Caddis — a refined, quill-bodied caddis with wood-duck wings and a peacock collar, named for the writer who fished these hatches. Elegant enough for flat water, buggy enough to get eaten.

When to Fish It

Caddis season, late spring through fall, on smoother water and spring creeks where a standard Elk Hair looks too crude. Dead-drift it on light tippet to steady risers.
