Bionic Ant is an artificial, foam-bodied ant-pattern fishing fly tied on a hook, with legs and a visible wing. The current listing carries #14 and #16 for a surface presentation around banks and other water where terrestrial insects may fall.

When to Fish It

Try it when ants are on the water or as a searching dry between hatches. Begin with a controlled drift. If adding a small nymph, check the actual wet pairing first; the dry needs to remain upright and visible. If it sinks, reduce the load or fish the nymph beneath a separate indicator.
