A balanced leech hangs perfectly horizontal under an indicator — exactly how a real leech swims — instead of nose-down like a standard fly. It turned stillwater indicator fishing into a science.

When to Fish It

Ice-out through fall on lakes and reservoirs. Suspend it under an indicator at the depth fish cruise and let the waves do the work, or retrieve it dead-slow. Black with red or blue flash; 8–10 are meal-sized. Medium tippet.
