The Prince Nymph has been catching trout since the 1930s: peacock body, white biot wings, brown hackle. Nobody knows exactly what fish take it for, but they take it everywhere.

When to Fish It

All season, on any river. It's a first-choice searching nymph in riffles and runs, and a solid stonefly suggestion in bigger sizes. Dead-drift it under an indicator or swing it through the tailout on light tippet.
