Chubby Chernobyl Foam Hopper Fly (High-Visibility Attractor Dry)

The Chubby Chernobyl is the Swiss Army knife of dry flies — part hopper, part stonefly, part attractor, part indicator. Its massive foam body floats in any water condition, supports heavy nymph droppers without sinking, and catches fish on its own as an aggressive surface pattern. When to Fish It

Summer through early fall as both a standalone dry fly and the indicator in a hopper-dropper rig. Fish it through pocket water, along banks, through riffles, and anywhere big bugs are active. It's almost impossible to sink, which makes it the ideal top fly for suspending heavy tungsten nymphs 18-24 inches below. The rubber legs add motion even when the fly is sitting still. Sizes 10-12.
